Russia plotting provocations for Independence Day: NSDC

Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov said Russia was plotting provocations for Ukraine's Independence Day celebrated on August 24. He said this while on his visit to a Kyiv Armored Plant testing site, the RBC-Ukraine reported.

"Our independence really drives Russia in a flurry. And our Independence Day is for Russia a black day. Exactly for this reason, they are plotting all provocations either on the eve of the Independence Day or on the very Day of Independence. That is why we are on a high alert to fend off any provocations staged by the aggressor," he reported.
